First attempt with falsies!

Last friday marked my first attempt with falsies. It was raining, and I had no choice but to wait (and make Veron wait for 2 whole hours)… so I rummaged and found my box of nice/good quality false eyelashes purchased from Tokyo previously. Donki (Donquijote) FTW. I probably have like over 10 kinds of false lashes lying in my stock shelf but I’ve never touched any of them.

If im not wrong, i got this box at about 800 ~ 1000yen? Which works out to about $12 ~ $15 SGD.
Quality wise, I won’t compare it to Dolly Wink lah, but i like them in bulk and I have a thing for lashes which has thicker / longer ends.

The strip holding the lashes is clear.

I spent freaking 20 mins trying to get it on. I applied, ripped out, and reapplied the glue at least 4 times. #%@^$^ This was just so infuriating. And for some funny reason, though i could get my right eye on perfectly, It was a little hard for the left eye. And I can’t find the proper “lash line” to adhere to! I have random lashes sticking out at different heights and I was cursing as I tried. The front part kept sticking out (not enough glue i suppose) and I had to plonk more glue in using a cotton bud and it wasn’t funny.

Conclusion:
I think these lashes are just generally more densely packed than my lashes, very natural, and adds on more ooomph for my lashes without over doing it.

Points to take note: (or rather, i took note of myself after experimenting)
1. Draw. eyeliner. before you apply.
2. Draw eyeliner again after you apply the falsies
3. Double check, and triple check that you can’t see any whites!

And according to Mr Yang, I should have done/drawn my lower lashes/waterline!
