Taking care of dry, bleached hair.

Dry, tangly hair.

Well that’s the hair condition i deserved after throwing it to bleach and multiple dye jobs. My aunt was “screaming” that my hair was thinning – but of course lah, your bleach your hair sure thin one. It’s so chio now but so dry T_T….

Anyway i found it super hard to comb through when it’s trying to dry, and frizzy and tangly at hair ends. My roots are fine, the hair near my roots are still pretty healthy. BUT I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT LAH!! I cannot avoid combing my hair forever!
(Come to think about it, I hardly comb my hair last time actually. I just run my fingers through. But i can’t even run my fingers through this!)

I looked around Watsons at Taka, and i found a detangling comb by Lady Jayne. Big purple comb.

And at the salons advice, i bought a hair mask, shamppo, and a no rinse conditioner.
(They told me to get the capsules/ampoules instead but it was too expensive for me…)

NIOXIN Intense Therapy Deep Repair Hair Masque ($70 for 500ml)
EKS surgiva marine Hydro-Nutritive Hydrating Shampoo ($25, i think. 200ml)
EKS surgiva marine Hydro-Nutritive Two Phase No Rinse Conditioner ($30 for 200ml)

They. work. like. MAGIC.
At least for me. My hair is much more manageable.AND THE SMELL! EKS’s fragrance makes me happy.

I use the mask EVERYTIME after I wash my hair. Slather it on, wrap my head with a towel (you can use a shower cap) and leave it on for about 30 mins to an hour (depends on how long i get distracted by the internet) and then rinse off.

After that, pat hair dry with towel, use the detangling comb to comb through and let it dry naturally.
While it’s semi wet (that’s when it’s hard to comb through), spray your hair with the leave in conditioner and then comb through again. You can use this both wet and dry. It has protein in it (thats what the stylist told me) and you need to shake the bottle before use as there’s two different layers.

And after it’s dry, I use Kerastase Nutritive Oleo-Relax Hair Serum (It looks like this) – another nice smelling product – on my hair ends. It’s not cheap as compared to other hair serum, but it’s good and one bottle really lasts you a long time. I’ve transferred this into a small pump bottle i purchased from Muji so that I can carry it around and apply whenever I need to.

    Hello~

I bought it from a salon in Shaw Tower (Beach Road/Bugis). It’s called Glamour AC, just behind Starbucks.

This is the only place that i know which sells this… it’s not sold in retail stores.
