I got myself a ring light! (Yes, the Xiaxue/Cheesie ring light!)
A bit slow, but realized I was looking in all the wrong places and snapped up Valerie’s one as she was selling hers away.
Good lighting is essential for great photos. Love them! And yes that’s my new hair color. : x

you having some problems with your readers? ignore! there are bound to be negative comments every now and then XD
if a ringlight makes one’s photos nicer, they shldnt complain! : p
like that im short, going half blonde, got flash light….. aint i super copying xiaxue then! : p
Ya the ring light is amazing! makes ur skin glow! But think will also highlight flaws like pimples, dark eye rings and crow’s feet right (i’ve got all of them!) hah..
Ring light only meant for close up right? Wont work with far subjects?

Hehe yes it does, but at least it’s easier to photoshop and also looks better than flash from the camera!
As for the ring light I have, It works for portraits from chest upwards, but if you’re talking about taking full body shots, I think you may have to invest in flash lamps (those that fire off when you use flash with DSLRs) or if you don’t have a DSLR, you may have to purchase at least 2 strong light sources/lamps + a reflector or two. Prob better if you could get an expert photographer to help you out with the light set up and source out good deals for you, i’m not pro at this! : )
