Did my hair today and thought it was an excellent day to get my nails done (at home, myself) as we had a wedding dinner to attend tomorrow! Picked Deborah Lippman’s Across the Universe. Slight sheer, but opaque at 3 coats. I’ve done a swatch post for this but that was over a dark blue color, so I wanted to check for myself how sheer it was exactly. Issued Dad a “challenge”, to show me how to park in Liang Court (its fucking narrow) and he gladly accepted it so off to Liang Court we went, for family dinner on Thursday night! Taiwanese porridge place, Shin Yeh. (It’s owned by Tung Lok) The place is super classy, super nice, and can seat anywhere from 4 – 15 pax comfortably. It’s almost like a wedding dinner place and probably can house up to 20-25 tables. I think it can be a nice place for a gathering or dinner party… for slightly older folks. Took this with the iPhone 4, iOS 4.1 with HDR. Awesome. (only iOS 4.1 on the iPhone 4 has the HDR function.) The HDR effect behaves like a skin smoothener, fwah. Though this effect is not intentional, I still like taking my pics with HDR On anyway cause they save a original and HDR copy so you can get to pick which one you’d like to keep. My favorite cheap dinner/supper place… 1. BEACH ROAD SCISSOR CUT CURRY RICE. Love this to bits. I call it 老地方. Also known as “Curry Bng” or 剪刀剪。 I’ve visited the other branch at Geylang before, but nothing beats this one. I love their cabbage and egg + curry. Actually all I need is that. CND Effects Amethyst Sparkle over Copper Shimmer OVER Black Onyx!
Wah. After I tried both CND Effects Amethyst Sparkle and Copper Shimmer I had this crazy thought of layering them over each other. I was pleasantly surprised by a nice maroon-ish result! The above pic had one coat of amethyst sparkle over copper shimmer and onyx black, with the exception of the pinky with 2 coats on (obviously more purple) – which i favoured and ended up doing 2 coats for all fingers.
