Review: b.liv products!
Received a bag of products from a brand that I’ve always been wanting to try out – b.liv by cellnique!
Previously known as cellnique, b.liv has been rebranded to a cuter, livelier and color coded packaging which I’m totally in approval of (from a design perspective lah), and I think that it makes it look classier.
The gifts came in an eco friendly medium sized tote bag – I think the design was well done and on the overall, really cute!
Always wanted to try this since Xiaxue wrote a review about it FOUR whole years ago! But back then I was just a poor student… and totally didn’t realize that it got rebranded!
The products sent to me were:
- Glow & Shine (Mask/Exfoliator/Brightener)
- Off With Those Heads (Black/Whitehead Sebum Gel)
- Squeaky Clean (Cleanser/Exfoliater)
- Leach Me (sheet mask!)
My Review
I’ve always had blackheads around my nose, and actually they’re kindda enlarged so I have to really keep it clean so that it doesn’t look any bigger or dirtier. I was slowly turning into a Strawberry nose eh.
The first step would be cleansing with Squeaky Clean, which is an exfoliating and oil controlling cleanser.
It smelt a little herbal and minty, and felt very refreshing. I’m not sure if this suits sensitive skin, but it didn’t irritate me. I welcomed the tingly sensation! There were tiny beads mixed in the green gel provided gentle exfoliation, and I really liked the pump bottle for it’s convenience.

“Off With Those Heads” should be used instantly after cleansing. It’s a clear, white gel… and smells minty! I’m starting to think that the scent of bliv’s products makes the product feel even better. It felt tingly, and tight. It has menthol and peppermint.. MY FAVOURITES! Applied moisturizer right on top of it. Initially I thought the sebum gel worked like another brand’s, where it works as an exfoliator of kinds and you rub it away…. but i was wrong! The gel actually softens the clogging blocking the pores, which allows for effortless extraction and removal of all the gunk! This magical gel also keeps oil secretions at bay! This has to be used long term (around a week or two) to see some results. Don’t expect an instant miracle, but I think along the way you’ll get addicted to how good it makes your skin feel. Once again, pump bottle for hygiene and convenience is a plus point!

“Glow & Shine” is a weekly/fortnightly mask, which I really love as well. It is a white paste with blue exfoliating beads.
Slather on a thick layer, leave on for 5-10 mins (avoid eye and lip area, it could sting!) and wet your hands + massage it off your face.
It ALSO had the minty smell, and left my skin feeling really awake and smooth.

My “Leach Me” masks were really, really well drenched in essence. I wet my shirt applying the mask -__-” Left it on for about 30+ minutes and it was still wet! It doesn’t have the tingly smell of the earlier 3 products, (but of cos…) and the mask’s shape was a little long for me, but still fit better than quite a lot of other masks out there.

All 4 products combined worked very well together to give me very, very smooth skin, which is great for applying make up! : x I tried the products on my FSIL (Future Sis-in-Law lah~) and even she commented that her skin felt really smooth!

I think I’m very likely to purchase the Squeaky Clean cleanser, and Glow & Shine mask after I’m done with the ones I was given. I love how these products felt on my skin and left it super smooth. <3 Especially with the low USD rate... I'd say that now is a good time to stock up!

i bought the “Off With Those Heads” too! It’s very refreshing to apply and smells great! But i think my blackheads are stubborn or i need to squeeze them out? The SAs at SASA say no need to extract them *ponders*
I think it’s more of a preventive + softening (easier to extract) measure, and I actually follow it up with a scrub and the mask to exfoliate regularly so that i can get blackheads (if any) out. : D Hope that helps! Maybe if you have queries you could post it on their FB Fan page? : )
