Orly DS Temptation

Orly Oui, Androgynie

OPI Temptation ↓

Super, duper gorgeous purple + blue glass flecks (should I describe this as glass fleck? It’s shimmery, but it’s really different from shimmer.) it’s like OPI DS Magic with purple flecks/glitter bits in it. Very, very very very pretty. But better layered over black or a dark purple shade as it’s quite sheer it seems.

Orly Androgynie (Holiday Soiree 2011) ↓

Dark black jelly with a mixture of glitter and hexagon bits too. It’s really pretty in the bottle, but on the nail I think the black kinds of covers over the glitter and hexagon bits over a bit too much – It’s still pretty though!!!

Orly Oui (Holiday Soiree 2011) ↓

When this arrived I was like… WAIT A MIN DON’T I ALREADY HAVE SOMETHING LIKE THAT?!?!? *slaps forehead*

And I did! It’s super similar to
Zoya Faye and ORLY Rock The World (Mineral FX Collection)!

Anyway, did a quick comparison between the two Orlys. (Definitely not dupes, since they’re from the same family)

Oui, Rock The World, Oui, Rock The World.

Oui is definitely more purple than Rock the World and RTW is more of a mauve gold. Formulas are similar, and both are of the same kind (gold shimmer!). Off the bottle, you can see that Zoya Faye has finer shimmer particles than the two Orly does, and is an obvious reddish purple instead of a cool tone one like Oui.

I realized that I never did swatch Zoya Faye before, so here’s a comparison swatch between all 3 ↓ :

Orly Rock the World has the strongest color / opaque in 2 coats and doesn’t have that much of a duo chrome shimmer as the other two. Oui is obviously very purple based, and Faye is pinker, and somewhat sheer. I needed 4 coats and my nail line was still visible somehow. They’re all visibly different – But I don’t think you need to have all 3, just one that suits your skintone. : )
