After much poking around for swatches, I decided on two gorgeous colors (well actually, just one. The other one belongs to Veronica but it’s so pretty that I want another for myself!)
Dutch ’Ya Just Love OPI?
Opaque in just ONE coat if you apply properly, and wow! The sun was perfect when I was swatching this, and it just took my breathe away!
A deep, gorgeous plum purple with orange-gold shimmer in it, which shows up best in sunlight – in the shade it doesn’t really come out much at all. But even without the shimmer showing, it’s still one really flattering shade on both tanned (that would be Veronica) and fair hands.
I Have Herring Problem
This was 3 coats. I find that the more coats you apply the better the shimmer stands out. But of course not too much – no one likes super thick nails!
Dusty sea-green x blue, with a fairly generous amount of silver shimmer mixed in, which… appears slightly gold in sunlight instead of silver, quite possibly due to the color of the polish itself!
It’s so obviously gold in (a lot of other blogger’s swatches) pictures, but it’s just plain silver shimmer when I removed it off my nails. Weird huh.
It’s also really close to Zoya Skylar, which was compared over at Let them have polish. (Great macro shot!)
I don’t give a Rotterdam is a similar kind of polish to I have a herring problem, but IDGR is sky blue as compared to this one. And I love, love the “gold” and dusty blue combi. Really tempted to throw holographic particles in for a franken too.
On the overall, Formula’s good, almost opaque in one coat, and I really like these two colors.
The pink is pretty lovely as well, but I’m not really a pink person so I skipped it. I’d imagine many pink lovers who’d go gaga over it!
I got them at $10 each from Tammy of Timtam00.
♡s for her, cos she actually asked if I want to change my mind when I reached her place as the colors didn’t seem to be as spectacular IRL! Haha. Great & responsive service too!
