You know the sense of dread when it’s time (and you know you have to) wash your brushes?
I hate washing my brushes. It’s such a chore for me – it’s not just the individual washing, drying, it’s also making sure that I get ALL the gunk out of my brushes the Brush detergent from Daiso just doesn’t do the job as well as this new method I’ve found.

Behold, Make Up Store’s Brush Cleaning Soap!

I’m having balls of fun with this one. I love how easy it is to clean my brushes thoroughly, and also enjoying the swirling motion (much more than swirling in a container). Instead of buying the $2 daiso detergent and then a $3 container to wash my brushes in, all I need is just this one Brush Cleaning Soap because it comes in a box which acts as a soap holder.
The Brush Cleaning Soap from Make Up Store costs $21 SGD, but I got mine at 10% off because of my membership (actually, 20% off on club day!) – so it worked out to be about almost $17 for this baby. It may seem expensive if you compare it to the $2 daiso brush cleaner, but hey, I’m having so much fun with this one, and it’s soooo much easier.
Here’s how you use it.
First, you wet your brush.

Taking the wet brush, swirl it on the soap (which is in the container). Add more water to the brush and continue swirling if it’s too dry.

You know it’s clean when you don’t see any more color coming off on the soap, but just to be doubly sure, ruffle the bristles a little to get the soap suds in further if necessary.

Rinse.

Squeeze off excess water, slide the brush into a brush guard (Available here on dolltodollcosmetics.com) and let it dry.

The brush guard maintains the brush shape beautifully and protects it as well while drying. I like it so much I got a whole bunch for all my different brushes! It’s not very expensive either.

As for the soap, I usually use the last brush to swirl till the soap is free from color pigments, and then let it air dry for one day before keeping it away.

Simple and easy. What’s not to love?!

No problem!! You got so fast use finish not!!!! Hahaha
im sure they are good, but you know, professional makuep artists have told me that even soft paintbrushes are just as good when it comes to applying makuep as the professional ones.
Not sure what you’re referencing to because I’m talkin about soap…
Thanks for the recommendation – I bought the soap today and it works so much better than my previous cleanser! Very happy. Going to try the brush guards next.
