Since I’ve accumulated a rather good assortment of washi tapes, I’ve been thinking of what I can do with them. I’ve decorated birthday cards with masking tapes before, and other than the very obvious option of washi-ing my camera, I decided to washi my iPhone!
Instead of applying it directly on my phone, I washi-ed the iPhone case. I have quite a few kinds of cases and I picked the transparent one (which I actually stocked in for ahbengshop,sg to sell for customization, but that never took off haha) because my iPhone’s white.
This is my second iPhone washi case actually. The first one, I did with the LE Peranakan tile tapes which I so love!
I love it, but it was coming apart as I did a rather lousy job of taping it around the curves and cutting too much. I was actually quite amazed by how well it held up, given that it’s just tape… and it comes in contact with quite a few things – water, oil (oily hands/face?!) and I wipe my phone down with alcohol wipes every night.
The past week has been crazy busy for me – running about, working, running about some more, slogging… I barely had anytime to myself and I just felt like doing it suddenly.
I love the limited edition tape I got – the one adorned with Japanese stamps and also the normal ones with the Japanese-que prints!
The end result after about an hour of cutting and trimming and carefully folding / bending…
And oh yes you may have seen it on my instagram by now but I did some sort of a stop motion video with Danbo XD
I think I might make some cases for a giveaway for next month if anyone’s keen! ; D
Sorry about the absence of posts for the past week, I’ve got PLENTY of reviews coming up.. just let me finish all the important money making work first please!!!
