Okay so these beauty boxes are going around and new box brands are coming out everywhere (new craze, like how groupon spurred so many coupon sites to sprout) and I’ve been looking at them (I like receiving stuff in the mail! *coughs* addiction *cough*) and most recently I saw reviews on Bella Box, and read about GlamaBox on 8 Days. Heard about VanityTrove from a close friend. Highlights of 2011…. Wordy post

1. Got Married (21st May, 2011) at Carlton. Frankly, the venue was okay, price was good, but the food was only so-so. Guess something’s got to give! My lovely husband nearly wanted to kill the female banquet manager at some point. Hahaha. Dreaming of Rainbow Hair

My New iPhone 4S… Not.

I have been waiitiiingggg so long for the 4S but when it finally arrived, and I got it plugged it and powered up… I was really disappointed. Of ALL things, my phone came with what some people dub the “yellowgate” problem. Basically it means that the phone has a yellowish tinge. It REALLY annoys me as it is really a huge difference. Maybe there isn’t really anything wrong, maybe my old iPhone 4 is just more magenta/cyan… But I really HATE the yellow tinge. It takes ALL the blue out of my images and that really sucks. OZ Abstract is neat cozy underground jewellery shop in the heart of Harajuku. I love, love love this place ever since Yang brought me here the first time round. It stocks up freaking awesome brands like Big Black Maria, Soul Fetish and the owner himself has some fabulous rings of OZ Abstract brand.       I wanted one of these, but they were sooooooo expensive! Pinterest – What’s pinned on my Make Up board!

Eugenia introduced me to Pininterest, sent me an invite and omg I was hooked! It’s something like tumblr, a collective of nice/interesting stuff (in fact a lot of stuff were all cross posted from tumblr) but very neatly categorized and I could pin them onto my own “boards”. I think the iPhone app is much easier to use and repin function is easier as compared to tumblr’s app and “reblogging” though. My favorite part of Pininterest is the Hair & Beauty section. I have a board mainly for make up inspiration… Look at these pins on my “Make Up” board. They are just so gorgeous and inspirational. I think all beauty junkies will LOVE it….

Today’s WTF Moment.

So I met up with Steph for tea and to collect back my instax/films, and also Haze for dinner (supposed to pass her a secret charm but apparently i’m an idiot and left it back in Clementi), all arranged in Mandarin Gallery. Thought I was being super smart to head over after 5pm when parking usually is cheaper. Before you go “Pbft, Mandarin Gallery/Hotel’s parking isn’t cheap”. Let me just say that after 6pm, parking IS $6 per entry, and if you spend above $60, you automatically get $60 off your parking charges. Or so I thought. Turns out that it was $30 min spending. I’m Back! Random Updates + Nailart post

It was my birthday yesterday (shameless yah haha) and I’ve been SUPER busy catching up with work and my family. Nearly exploded as I was fed too much during dinner – I think that’s the happiest way to spend my birthdays – EATING!!! So In Japan…. Drum Tao in Singapore @ Esplanade + LOTD/FOTD

Catching Drum Tao’s performance in Singapore, held at the Esplanade was a great way to kick start awesome September. The Friday which felt like a Saturday

It’s a super long weekend for my entire family! My parents took leave today to attend… 1. Visiting my brother’s camp We were given a little talk, met my bro’s OC and omg, we’re supposed to write my brother a letter when he goes for outfield. AAHAHA! Last time no such thing okay? This is so cute. They were also supposed to keep a diary in camp and reading my bro’s entries cracked me up. He ended an entry with “I don’t understand why cannot eat Khong Guan Small Marie Biscuits” LOL. Post Matsuri Update!

I went down after I took a good long sleep which saw me make a 70% recovery, except for the swollen throat. D: Was pretty sian that I couldnt attend the L’Oreal Event : | Anyway, the matsuri started in the evening and I sold most of my One Piece items, Rilakkuma soft toys, Monster hunter items and my kiap kiap toys hauled all the way back from JP! Japan was awesome

This Gatsby Commercial tune has been stuck in my head ever since I stepped out of my first drugstore on my JP trip. All the way from Hokkaido to Tokyo I was humming it day and night….. *Hoi hoi!* And so I’m back with too much stuff. Thank god I had my brother’s luggage space to share. Hehehe.
