I’m back with an EOTD, FOTD & NOTD & LOTD!
It’s like an explosion. I’m finally feeling so much better, and I’m back! And to “celebrate” this I decided to put on more make up and spammed my own Instagram a few days ago. *coughs* I celebrated over lunch by drinking iced water. And then again during dinner. Oh man iced water never felt so good down my throat. I’ve missed you so, especially during the hot afternoons!!! So exactly what make up did I plaster on my face a few days ago?! I’m wearing ZA’s newly launched Total Hydration BB Cream UV here! Yes, ZA has finally hopped onto the BB cream bandwagon! The cute little pink squeeze tube is about the same size…
ZA Liquid Eyeliner
Mag passed me this the other day to try, and I was blown away by it! IIRC, the ZA Liquid Eyeliner was released around September last year in 2011, has an ultra fine brush tip which allows precise lining on the eyes – as well as filling in the gaps between the lashes and wears really well! I love liquid eyeliners for their ease in application and speed – it saves me a lot of time as compared to gel eyeliner and it’s portability is a plus to me – I always sneak one in my bag, even if it’s just for a wedding dinner. You know, just in case. The ZA Liquid eyeliner is…
Heroine Make Eyelash Curler, Long & Curl Mascara and Mascara Remover Review
The newly re-formulated waterproof Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara claims to lengthen your lashes up to 120% with it’s Polymer fibre coating and is light weight, with a curved brush which provides an extra lift and promises long lasting curls – and you know what? IT’S ALL TRUE! I am super in love with this mascara, and you have to believe me when I say it works. And the best part is that with the Heroine Make Mascara Remover, I’m no longer steering clear of waterproof mascaras as it makes waterproof mascara removal so, so so much easier! But more on that later. If you look closely, you can see that there are many…
Maybelline Volume Express Magnum Ultra Comb Review
Maybelline has always been pretty well known for their affordable and great eye make up products, especially their mascaras, and not too long ago, they released a new mascara – the Volum’ Express Magnum Ultra Comb! (Gah what a mouthful – seems like this is happening pretty often with the make up brands nowadays…) lotsa japanese words, developed in japan but made in china At first look, the brush seemed really interesting. You do have to pull quite a bit to get it out, and it comes out with a soft “pop”! (beware of flying mascara as well) I was quite amused by the brush shape when I first saw it as I didn’t go…
K Palette Pencil Eyeliner
K-Palette’s famous for their 1-Day Tattoo Eyeliners, and this time round – A twist-up pencil version! Smudge test & Waterproof test with my other pencil liners – Dolly Wink Pencil Eyeliner and MSH EyesCream Gel Pencil Eyeliner. I didn’t purposely rub it off with water (Who really does that when the eyeliner is on your eyes?! And one should be smart enough to run for shelter if it starts raining right? Haha.) but if you wanna do an emotional crying in the rain scene kind of thing, K-Palette’s 1 Day liner is for you. The other two had horrible smudges if you rubbed them with water. The K-Palette pencil eyeliner lived up…
Random Instagram – Goodbye, February!
The past month was really filled with all sorts of activities and hauls!
Lancôme Hypnôse Doll Eyes App + Giveaway!
So the Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara has FINALLY reached our sunny shores! I got it a month ago in Rome, have previously reviewed it here, and I’ve been using it pretty often in my EOTDs on Instagram. So far, I like it more and more! It’s just uplifting to smell the lovely scent from the Mascara whenever I apply it. I think I actually pause for a while between applications just to take in the scent. -_-” I know. Now, onward to more exciting news! Giveaway! Lancôme (and Yanny!) has very generously offered to sponsor a giveaway for 3 lucky winners! (Check out Mag’s (MakeUpStash) Review and Iris’ (RogueDeluxe) Review on the palettes!) ★…
Rachel’s Wedding 04-02-2012
Rachel’s big day! She looked really resplendent in all her dresses and her red cheongsam for the day (tea ceremony) was gorgeous and fits her so well! I like! Plus she really worked it out for her wedding man – figure was perfect. If only I had half her sportiness… haha. Used for manicure: Zoya Raven Skinfood gold polish Gelish Top Coat Studs (I think Ying mentioned they were from Arab Street?) Actually it is not recommended to use gelish top coat over normal polishes as it may cause shrinkage or wrinkled nails, but mine felt fine (well it is day 1 after all) and even if it doesn’t last too long, it’s fine with…
EyesCream Gel Pencil / EyesCream Liquid Eyeliner By MSH Labo
Picked up these eyeliners by MSH Labo (I got the LoveLiner too!) in Japan over at Donki : D (Seriously, I do some major shopping there every time I’m in Japan. I think I spend too much there each trip. THEY HAVE SO MUCH STUFF TO BUY!!!!) MSH Labo’s EyesCream website: http://www.msh-labo.com/eyescream/ EYEScream ah, not eyeSCREAM! (haha…) They come in some seriously shiny and hard to take picture of packaging. *sweats* Liquid Eyeliner, 1000 JPY Comes in 2 colors, Coffee Black or Brown. 0.1mm fine tip, contains 0.55ml, and it’s fragrance free! Gel Eyeliner (In a pencil form!), 1260 JPY I thought this was really unique! It comes in 4 colors, and I picked up…
DollyWink Otona Series Eyelash No. 11 Pure Sweet
Eyelash No. 11 from the stash I got a while back. Neatly fanned out lashes, somewhat invisible lash bone (if you take a look at the lash itself closely, it’s sparsely invisible where there are no lashes – the lashes make up the black portions you see. I like it, but this one isn’t as natural as I thought it would be. Nonetheless, it’s quite nice and feathery, not too stiff at all. I think depending on application (you know sometimes when the lash bone goes out of whack on one of your fake eyelashes the application makes you look very wide-eyed? that happened to me on one eye cos I didn’t put it back…
DollyWink Otona Series Eyelashes No. 9
This is Eyelash No. 9 from the stash I got a while back. It’s criss-crossed, set on an invisible lash bone. Wore this out for (a simple BKT) dinner and loved it. It’s just so natural looking (read: messy looking)! Featuring/Wearing Freshlook One-Day ColorBlends in Pure Hazel. I have no idea how this turned out looking so green really. Close Up: Love the invisible lash bone, and it’s pretty sturdy and well made as compared to say… Luminous Change where the lashes falls out pretty easily if you don’t handle it carefully (and by carefully, i mean removing the eyelash from the box with a pair of SHARP TWEEZERS and poking the lash bone to…
Luminious Change Eyelash 06 + Giveaway!
Luminious Change (english) also known as Ruminasu (jap) are a brand of eyelashes specially designed by Rumi Itabashi… which explains the “wordplay” there. Frankly speaking from some images I google-ed online (cos Cherring asked me to help her find a particular model when I was visiting Japan back in July) I didn’t think much of the quality – they looked really plastic and stiff to me. I got a box anyway, I was swooping eyelashes like mad for god-knows-what reason. I have a ton of them unused in my drawer!! Rumi Itabashi Anyway. Her entire range of lashes. One box costs 1155 Yen (about 19 sing?), that is quite value for money, as these…

I’m picking my favorite look from each ambassador to show case here; you’ll have to visit Freshlook’s TNBT Facebook Page to view all the different looks and vote for your fave to win the complimentary make over! First up, Serene. I think…
Les Minis De Chanel Brushes + Inimitable Mascara + Pure Shine Intense Color Long Wear Lip Gloss
The other day just before catching 一泡而紅 (which is freaking awesome and damn funny, please watch it) I had to pass by Kino to renew my membership (3 years plan get a $5 Kino voucher! Good deal!) and also had to run pass Chanel… and Taka was having a 10% off plus I had vouchers so I totally couldn’t resist the limited edition brushes! and a mascara! and a lipgloss! /facepalm The brushes are a mix of sable hair (for the angled powder brush) and artificial hair for the foundation and smudge brush I believe. Super soft to the touch, and has the branding stamped in red over the brush handle. Frankly speaking it looks…
K-Palette’s 1-Day Tattoo Real Lasting Eyeliner & Lasting 2-Way Eyebrow
Have wanted to try K-Palette’s 1-Day Tattoo Eyeliner since it came out, but I had such a huge stash of eyeliners that I decided to slowly run through them before purchasing new ones… And then Ariel of Japalang (exclusive distributor for Cure Natural Aqua Gel, K-Palette & Steamcream!) came “knocking” on my email with a limited edition eyeliner for me to try!!! : D Christmas came early! K-Palette 1-Day Tattoo Real Lasting Eyeliner in Super Black & 1-Day Tattoo Lasting 2-Way Eyebrow Liner in Honey Brown. The 2-Way eyebrow Liner comes in 2 shades, 01 Chocolate Brown & 02 Honey Brown. I got the Honey Brown one which is almost perfect for my current hair…
Violent Lips, Star Lashes & Paper Lash Review
A while ago before I left for China, Charmaine gifted me with 3 items from Watson’s Beauty Corner to review! : D Starting with my favorite… Paper Lash I love this! It’s made of paper but doesn’t tear easily – I found it to be pretty sturdy. I think the full length one looks weird on me, so I cut it up and stuck it to the end of my eyes. I think it looks much better this way and you can cut one entire strip into 3 portions! So that’s 3 pairs of lashes : D (as compared to buying the small piece alone which is like 3/4 of the total cost…
Night out at St James
{ 21.10.11 } All pictures taken with iPhone 4 Speaking of which, I’ve preordered my iPhone 4S from the Apple Store! *HAPPY* That’s my favorite dancer… AMZ! : x This one.. well.. a pole dancer in the revamped Dragonfly. Really slightly sleazy but good entertainment – catered to the crowd too. From Powerhouse… to Super Dragonfly. Okay la less words more pics. Random Thai Chick There was a Johnnie Walker booth just situated at the exit of Powerhouse and it’s balls of fun! No girl can ever resist this.
Drum Tao in Singapore @ Esplanade + LOTD/FOTD
Catching Drum Tao’s performance in Singapore, held at the Esplanade was a great way to kick start awesome September. I was given complimentary tickets by Len from Establish Events (the organizer) to catch Drum Tao’s world tour, but it wasn’t to blog about the event or cos I was a blogger – I was working on the marketing collateral! : D I’m raving about this cos I was really awestruck by the stellar performance by the troupe. I think quite a fair number of Singaporeans should have heard of Drum Tao if they have been to Ippudo x Tao over at River Valley. Ippudo is my number one ramen haunt in Singapore! Initially I thought…
30DC – 7. Favourite eye shadow color
(30DC stands for 30-Day Challenge! This is part of the 30 day make up Q&A challenge I’ve decided to join – Click here to view the entire list of questions!) 7. Favourite eye shadow color I really cannot decide. HAHAHA. But I really really love Mad Mineral’s Whisper Mint which is a gorgeous light turquoise and is a very versatile color as shown on Specktra. And here’s a repost of a pic I used on a previous swatch post of MM Whisper Mint (which totally did it no justice). /swoon —– ★ —– [AD] Nature’s Gallery (affiliated to the very awesome Body Wellness) is having a beauty pageant, “Face of Olinda 2012″ to look for…
Randoms for a few weeks
I’ve been too busy clearing my work for my upcoming Hokkaido and also i’ve been cursed with a really horrible back problem which is caused by… by… apparently, sitting too much. …… *sigh* Anyway, amidst all that… Dear “Brudder” (affectionately called) Steve and Jane ROM-ed at One Rochester! Really cosy place and pretty decent food. The happy couple jetted off to Japan for their honeymoon the very night. LOL. With Miya~ Outfit of the day: Random toga dress from China, CL heels, Claw bracelet from ASOS. LOTD: V little sunlight by the time I reached home, but I was wearing L’Oreal’s OpenEyesPro in Beige Harmony, which I LOOOOOOVEEEEEE. Swatches of that for another post. Caught…
