Beauty Day Out at Capitol Piazza with Mummy!

Every year during my birthday I make it a point to celebrate it with my family, or at the very least, thank my mummy for giving birth to me. I mean, this woman spent 9 months carrying me, giving up her youth, figure and time for me and not to mention all the pain she went through!

However, I didn’t have time to spend my birthday with my Mum this year and really wanted to bring her out for a day – it was timely that this idea of pampering her at Capitol Piazza came along and also rather coincidental that she’s NEVER been to Capitol Piazza before – even before it was renovated!

I’ve been to Capitol Piazza a couple of times and I do love the place so – conveniently located right beside City Hall MRT (with an underground walkway so that you wouldn’t get drenched), Capitol Piazza’s pretty lively especially during lunch time, due to its well curated mix of lifestyle, fashion and wellness retail tenants, and of course, the great selection of eateries! In fact, even though I’ve been there at least 10 times already, I’ve actually discovered more shops on this latest trip there!

Parking is easy at Capitol Piazza, ample lots (3 basement levels) and plenty of space between lots – also, per entry after 6 is just $3 flat*! (Weekdays only)

capitol-singapore-theatre-building-4The Capitol is an establishment full of history and culture. It consisted of 3 buildings – Capitol Theatre, Capitol Building, and Stamford House.

The most outstanding feature of Capitol Building was the curved structure of the building, which stands out when you pass by the junction at Stamford Road – it was designed in a distinctive, vintage looking neo-classical style. While it has been since redeveloped and renovated, the unique facade has been restored and kept, retaining the classic look and keeping it as a significant landmark of Singapore.

In fact, the retail tenants seem to echo the image of the building – I’ve come to associate Capitol with more well-placed and slightly higher end brands, and even the events I attend at Capitol are always a luxe affair.

Along the restored building lies a whole row of shops you probably didn’t know existed as it’s not part of the main mall, but it’s a sanctuary of sorts, merely a short walk away from the hustle and bustle of the mall.

Simply exit through Sulwhasoo, make a left turn, and you’ll find the Arcade – a charming walkway with pretty lamps and fans. Here you will discover more shops and services available, like O Medical, PREP, The Proposal and more!

The one and only agenda of the day was to pamper my mother, of course!

{ O Medical @ Capitol Piazza }

#01-64 | Tel: +65 6385 4434

Brought her down to the first stop of the day – O Medical, a laser, hair removal and aesthetic clinic, where she received a consultation and was advised to try out a chemical peel after the doctor listened attentively to her wants and don’t wants, namely;

  • want less dull, radiant skin
  • don’t want pain, no laser

My mum is 52, and like most older women, she suffers from pigmentation problems and dulling of skin as her skin cells regenerates and shed slower – a chemical peel would aid in softening her skin and removing dead skin cells. I was pleasantly surprised myself by how much brighter her skin looked immediately after the chemical peel!

evonnz-capitol-piazza-beauty-day-out-with-mother-4My aunt actually joined us for the morning, and she also got lots of great advice from the Doctor in clinic that day – Dr. Rucha Karkhanis was extremely patient with our questions, which we had a ton of after we realized her age and were impressed with her skin condition at that age! I did not get any treatment done as I had an event that evening, but I definitely walked away with more knowledge, plus Dr. Rucha advised me on how to get rid of my troublesome back acne. The way she says things puts my mind at ease, that the problem can be quite easily treated. The simplest tip we brought home that day was to hydrate, hydrate and HYDRATE!

Thank you, Dr. Rucha!

Thank you, Dr. Rucha!

It was noon by the time we were done at O Medical, which means time for lunch! At Capitol Piazza, you’ll find eateries available on almost all floors of the building – from my very favourite Italian bistro Equilibrium (click for review!), to renowned French tea room Angelina, a taste of local fare at 1933, and the latest Indonesian franchise from Bali – Naughty Nuri’s!

{ Naughty Nuri’s @ Capitol Piazza }

#01-84 | Tel: +65 6384 7966

I somehow managed to coax mum and aunt into having Naughty Nuri’s with me for lunch – you would think that it’s a posh looking mall and that it might be expensive, but set lunches in Capitol Piazza are actually really worth it! There are plenty of eateries at almost every level – you can find Ramen & Tonkatsu Ma Maison, Hoshino Coffee (love their french toast!), Four Seasons Chinese Restaurant and even Oriole Coffee + Bar in the building! There’s also llaollao for the froyo lovers, yum!

Nothing’s more delightful than a hair treatment post-lunch, and that’s exactly what we did!

{ PREP Luxe @ Capitol Piazza }

Arcade, #01-62 | Tel: +65 6384 1406

Made reservations for Mum and I at PREP Luxe – a homegrown brand offering full hair services (cut, color, treatments, wash and blow) but well known for being many ladies’ go-to choice when it comes to a perfect blowout.

We were booked for the Mucota Scena Treatment – I’ve long heard about Mucota’s haircare range and treatments, and how good it is as Japan’s #1 treatment, created specially for Asian hair.

The Mucota Scena Treatment ($170/$180) offered by PREP Luxe is a 75-minute, 3-step hair treatment to replenish moisture and repair the cell structure of your hair. The entire treatment’s full of  reparative ingredients like ceramides, amino acids, keratin and silk ppt which will give you lustrous hair for days after the treatment!

It was of course followed by a lovely signature blowout, which was just in time for my event later in the evening! Hehehe. My hair was teased to perfection, with the stylist paying attention to what I wanted – soft, bouncy curls, with plenty of volume on top!

After the hair treatment, we took a walk around the main shopping section of Capitol Piazza – where you’ll find shops and services like some of my favorite beauty stores – Lancôme, Aesop, as well as service oriented shops like Highbrow, Branché (Hair & Nail),  lifestyle brands like To Be Calm (White Tea & Ginger scent!) and fashion stores like Napapijiri, G-Star RAW,  Marimekko, and Manifesto!

We headed over to Aveda, whose hair care I’ve been meaning to check out – what I did not know was that they offered an extensive range of skincare as well, and this trip allowed me to understand Aveda better and the philosophy behind their beauty care range!

evonnz-capitol-piazza-beauty-day-out-with-mother-30{ Aveda @ Capitol Piazza }

B2-33 | Tel: +65 6384 1510

Founded in 1978, Aveda’s skincare sprouted from the basics of Ayurvedaa system of medicine with historical roots in the Indian subcontinent. Aveda eventually became a pioneer of holistic beauty, and a champion of environmental responsibility with the guidance of two Ayurvedic Physicians and their commitment to using organic ingredients.

From the ingredients to the packaging used, Aveda tries its best to provide and care for the environment – by using only ethically organic ingredients, not conducting animal testing, responsible manufacturing, supporting breast cancer research, right down to the packaging used!

evonnz-capitol-piazza-beauty-day-out-with-mother-24Aveda places emphasis on being well-balanced – I had a mini experience of how an Aveda Ritual would be like – you’ll get served a warm cup of tea, and asked to pick a scent you’d like from 7 scents available. Your senses will automatically guide you to pick a scent, and that scent co-relates to a particular chakra you might be missing from being well-balanced.

evonnz-capitol-piazza-beauty-day-out-with-mother-23evonnz-capitol-piazza-beauty-day-out-with-mother-22I was introduced to an extremely interesting first ritual of the day, called the Radiant Awakening Ritual. It is a 2-step ritual done before you wash your face – you first gently massage and exfoliate your face with a dry brush, followed by a light massage with their oleation oil before washing it off and starting your regular regime.

evonnz-capitol-piazza-beauty-day-out-with-mother-25Dry brushing is a technique from ancient Ayurveda, called gharsana – it gently lifts dry, dull cells from skin’s surface, exfoliates to promote skin cell turnover, and preps skin to take in nourishing oils, treatments and hydration that follow.”

I didn’t experience this on my face, but it would have been such a joy to pamper yourself first thing in the morning! It is then followed by using Aveda’s tulasāra™ radiant oleation oil for a facial massage, which is a step is inspired by an Ayurvedic technique called abhayanga. I love the scent of the oil and it’s like a mini aromatherapy session to relax and ready yourself for the day! Leave on for 4 minutes before washing it off, and you’re ready to begin with your regular skincare regime.

One thing I loved about Aveda was how knowledgable and friendly their staff were. Every single step of the ritual was well explained, and even the hair consultation was a breeze! I was really impressed because usually you’ll be met with urms and urhs… but this darling at Aveda was able to answer my every question with utmost confidence (in her knowledge and of the products they carry!).  I would recommend that you walk right in and sit down to get yourself acquainted with Aveda and their products, because the mini experience would blow you away.

And then it was the last stop of the day, an all time favorite since I was a teen – The Body Shop!

{ The Body Shop @ Capitol Piazza }

B2-18 | Tel: +65 6384 2764

The lady from The Body Shop wasn’t any less knowledgeable – I was in a rush, and she managed to speed talk and introduce to me to their latest and redesigned Drops of Youth™ skincare range!

The Body Shop Drops of Youth“The Body Shop Drops of Youth™ helps to provide you with smoother, bouncier, youthful looking skin by enhancing the cell renewal process and delivering a much-needed hit of supple hydration.”

The Body Shop’s Drops of Youth™ range isn’t at all oily nor sticky to the touch – it gets absorbed really quickly and is formulated with a number of powerful plant stem-cells, speeding up your cell renewal process to give you younger looking skin. The serum makes a good addition to my dresser and definitely aids with moisturizing! And remember what Dr. Rucha (from O Medical earlier on) recommended? HYDRATION!

Should you be looking to pick up just one more item from The Body Shop though, make it one of their 5 newly released Expert Facial masks. I have the entire set and it’s an absolute joy to cycle through them!

superfoodmasks-thebodyshopThe Body Shop’s Expert Facial Masks (S$32.90 each) are inspired by superfood trends and traditional remedies around the world and are wholly vegetarian (you’d be surprised how many people are looking for vegetarian gifts for their vegetarian friends). It’s really hard to choose just one from the amazing names and formulas – Amazonian Acai, British Rose, Chinese Ginseng & Rice, Ethopian Honey and Himalayan Charcoal, so I cycle through them the entire week! And after a week I was left with supple, smoother-feeling and really happy skin.

If you have to get gifts for someone, let this be it! It would make such a good bridesmaid gift, a Christmas stocking stuffer (enough with the hand creams already, hahaha) or a party exchange gift!

And with the last visit, it was time to head off to the airport to fetch my dad and then to attend my event! Mummy & I started at 10am, and only ended at 4pm *whew*

evonnz-capitol-piazza-beauty-day-out-with-mother-21It’s been such a long time since I’ve had an enjoyable day out with my Mum (she works, so she had to take a day off) and I was happy to see her pampered and radiant after the whole day at Capitol Piazza!

It was really coincidental that I’d noticed a poster for an Etsy Made Local event, which saw me coming back to Capitol Piazza again with my cousins! (In fact, I kept going back week after week for events and for this!). And by the time I was back, the Christmas decorations were up and we couldn’t resist taking some family photos!

I was pleasantly surprised by the turnout and also pretty excited by the local talents! Love, love love these cards and drawings.

I took a little longer at the fair while the kids headed off to Hoshino Coffee for pancake and ice cream! I’m not going to encourage this, but what a time they had playing by the fountain right outside Capitol Piazza!

I’d say that nothing is more important than seeing the happy smiles on my loved ones’ faces and making moments like this. I loved the photos my parents took of me when I was younger – because I had such a bad memory I could only remember my childhood by looking at the photos. And these are irreplaceable memories between me and my cousins made – Thank you, Capitol Piazza! ; )

(Special credits to Myke for helping me grab this shot with everyone!)

Leave on haircare: Essential’s CC Oil & Night Care Milk

By | beauty, Hair | No Comments

Of all the products I’ve received, my favorite to try would probably be hair care, because you don’t need to worry about breakouts – it either work, or it doesn’t.

And so far, all of Essential’s hair products have worked brilliantly for me! Other than the fact that it’s from Japan, I love that its price point is really good as well, and that you can find it easily at most drugstores, supermarkets & hypermarts!

Other than the very obvious facts that bleaching and perming can damage your hair, external environmental factors (sun, sea, dust, air conditioning) and everyday habits (blowdrying, combing, hair-tying, pillow friction) can also cause damage to your precious hair cuticle(s)!

Let me introduce you to Kao Essential’s newest additions this season which promises to combat all your bad hair day woes! Say hello to the brand new additions, the CC Oil & Night Care Milk!

Leave-on hair care’s probably my favoritest kind of hair care, because sometimes I just don’t have the luxury of time to wait in the shower while my hair mask absorbs! With leave-on haircare, I can pamper my hair anytime, anywhere!

{ Essential CC Oil }

CC in this case doesn’t stand for color correcting, it actually stands for “Cuticle Care”!

Applying oil on my hair after washing every night has become second nature to me – I would actually feel really uncomfortable if I’ve forgotten my hair oil when I’m overseas, and go out to buy a new one. The CC Oil is priced well at $11.90 SGD, and comes in a handy 60ml bottle which fits nicely into your palm (and along your luggage, even aboard a flight)!

The Essential CC Oil promises to coat each stand of hair to protect and fight against 5 most common forms of hair stresses:

  1. Blow-drying
    (all that extreme heat! don’t you feel like your hair is too hot to even hold after hair curling sometimes?)
  2. Combing
    (I don’t comb my hair unless necessary – sometimes when you’re trying to comb out a knot, it can cause a lot of stress to your hair especially near the roots!)
  3. Split ends
    (the split will go even higher if you don’t snip it off or apply a coat of oil to protect it)
  4. Dryness
    (all that beach exposure and air conditioning in the room has dried my hair out considerably too –  if your face feels tight and dry like the desert, do you think your hair will feel like it’s in an oasis?!)
  5. Breakage
    (I love typing my hair into a ponytail! I’ve been doing that since I was young, and when it’s too tight your hairline will start to recede – and sometimes using the wrong hair bands will also break your hair – never, ever, ever use a RUBBER BAND!)

The hair oil is lightweight, not too oily nor does it leave an obviously oily feel to your hair – instead it adds shine, and keeps your hair smooth and tangle-free!

I tried it on my hair which was naturally dried the worst possible way ever – I actually slept through this while it was wet, and boy, did the pillow friction cause all that much frizz or what?!

I use it before I blow dry my hair too – think my hair could use all the protection it needs, especially for the hair ends which has endured many rounds of bleaching!

{ Night Care Milk }

Have you tried the Sleeping Hair Mask before? I have friends who rave about it! It’s essentially the same thing, the Night Care Milk protects your hair against PILLOW FRICTION too – but this version’s better and improved! When you toss and turn at night and sometimes for the side sleepers, wave your hand about below your hair (haha) – these actions cause you to wake up with extremely frizzy hair!

The texture is pretty similar to the Sleeping Hair Mask, just slightly lighter, and it’s also non-greasy. You can use this on either damp or dry hair! The Night Care Milk promises to intensively repair and moisturize your hair while you sleep, and coupled with cuticle coat protection like the CC Oil, it also leaves your hair smooth and more manageable the next morning!

I have a mommy friend who has absolutely no time in the morning, and was considering the extreme option of rebonding her hair just to solve the frizz problem – I recommended her to the Sleeping Hair Mask sometime early this year and it worked wonderfully for her, and saved her tonnes of money since it was just $11.90! I’m definitely going to recommend her to try this out again, because…

Yep, that’s actually the left and right side of my hair. I am a side sleeper and I tend to switch sides VERY often through the night (plus all the hand action below my hair). If I don’t tie my hair up in a ponytail, I get the huge frizzy mess you see on the left!

$11.90 SGD for you to save more time in the mornings – DEFINITELY A YES!

I actually brought both products with me on my recent Indonesia trip, and I’m so glad I did, because I faced A LOT of external environmental stress when I was there – Mountain hiking actually left more dust in my hair than I’d like, and also sulphur fumes, the heat and sun at lower altitudes… I also had to wash AND blow-dry my hair up to 4 times on the first 2 days due to all that. I’m so thankful that I brought them along to keep my mane happy!

Both the Essential CC Oil & Essential Night Care Milk retails $11.90 each, and as I’ve mentioned earlier, are available in most drugstores, hypermarts and supermarkets! ; )

Play Essential’s Mane Hero Facebook game and combat the 5 evil Hair Stress Brothers and Pesky Pillow King to win attractive weekly prizes!

The mechanics of the game’s pretty simple.

Help Essential’s Mane Hero catch the falling Essential products (100 points each) and AVOID the 5 evil Hair Stress Brothers + Pesky Pillow King (minus 50 points if you accidentally catch them) simply by moving her and her basket left or right!

Review: Kao Essential Sleeping Hair Mask & Leave On Serum

By | beauty, Hair | One Comment

There are expensive hair care products that don’t work, and then there are inexpensive ones that work just as well as the expensive ones! What sparked me off trying out various haircare brands was when I started bleaching my hair, back in 2008-09? I’d say that my hair was a Level 5 in the damage scale of 1 – 10, which set me off on a haircare hunt, and that was when I first came across Essential!

Back then’s before/after using Essential’s rich Premier Nourishing Care Lotion

Back then they were new in Singapore, and promises to care for the last 15 cm of your hair. I tried out almost everything from their range, and their mask is a favorite, even till now! So when I was told that I was being proposed for a Kao Essential advert, I was all like… “YES CAN NO PROBLEM!”, cos I have faith in their product(s)!

I was sent their two latest products from their Damage Care series, the Essential Sleeping Hair Mask (also known as the Treatment Milk as per packaging) and the Essential Leave On Serum!

Essential Sleeping Hair Mask (100ml)

To apply on your hair before you go to bed.

The milky, non-greasy texture is absorbed instantly by your hair and forms a protective layer between each hair strand and your pillow, protecting your hair cuticles from Pillow Friction while you toss and turn. Ladies can confidently look forward to stronger, healthier and silky soft hair that is easy to manage and style the next morning

Essential Leave On Serum (60ml)

To apply on your hair the next morning before you go out.

The Cuticle Protection Ingredients form a protective veil over hair to prevent frizz and dryness caused by humidity and UV rays. Just spread the serum evenly onto hair and it invigorates hair, giving it a healthy and lustrous shine while protecting it from the sun.

The first product I took interest to was the Essential Sleeping Hair Mask!

Actually ever since bleaching my hair, I’ve been trying to reduce breakage by washing my hair less often (!), applying all sorts of serums and stuff like that. I always wash my hair at night as it takes forever to dry and I don’t like going out with dripping wet hair or spending 1 whole hour trying to dry my hair… and since I do that at night, I end up tying my hair with a hair tie (me love Twist bands!) to keep it all bundled together so that I minimize frizz and tangles when I wake up in the morning, to save myself some styling time!

Nobody told me to do that, but it was a no brainer – when you toss and turn at night, your hair rubs against the pillow and that’s called pillow friction.

5. Essential Pillow Damage Criminals Wanted Poster

Look at what pillow friction does to your hair! D: Yikes!

Do you wake up with your hair in a mess like a lion’s mane, and often need to comb it out super thoroughly? That’s because pillow friction causes the hair cuticles to open up unevenly, causing hair to be rough, frizzy or prone to tangles!

Even when I tie my hair up, the hair ends are not spared from the damage either! I toss and turn in bed quite often (I’m a side sleeper) so my hair gets knotted, tangled and becomes frizzy due to the movements at night and hair being dried out by air-conditioning!

So I decided that I’ll put this to the test – I’ll blow dry my hair, segment it into two, apply Essential’s Sleeping Hair Mask one end, nothing on the other and NOT tie my hair up for one night.

The Essential Sleeping Hair Mask smells pleasant – the same scent is used throughout their Damage Care series – and it has a lightweight texture – not too heavy and it is almost immediately absorbed into the hair!

Both hair products are dispensed with a pump nozzle and free from bulky packaging which some hair products tend to come in. I like that it’s small enough to stow away easily and that the huge cap means that products don’t get accidentally squeezed out while you’re traveling. I think this would be great in case of cold weathertravel because that’s gonna give you static which will end up frizzy and unmanageable!

The effects of the Essential Hair Sleeping Mask is obvious straight after application…

Before I go to bed: Left: Without Sleeping Hair Mask Right: With Sleeping Hair Mask

Before I go to bed:
Left: Without Sleeping Hair Mask
Right: With Sleeping Hair Mask

But, did it pass the overnight pillow damage test?

I swear to god, when I woke up the first thing I did was to turn on my lamp and grab a picture of my hair.

Okay let’s take the perpetrators out of the picture…

What the…. ahhahaha, it was ridiculous! Swear to god I didn’t brush it at all or do anything special to it. CONVINCED!!!

Still silky smooth after waking up! (probably just very slightly messy and flatter than freshly blown). But eh, wait a minute. Now I have one side with smooth hair and one side with messy hair. -_-”

But 不用怕,I have the leave on hair serum, which is meant to be used in the morning before you go out!

The hair serum is is extremely light – you won’t feel much weight on your hair unlike other hair oils and yes, it smells the same like all other Damage Care series products! I’m guessing that if you use the entire range together you’ll smell good for the next 2 days for sure, haha.

And after some rubbing, and finger combing….

(obviously ridiculous shiny effects – but look at the before/after below!)

Psst… Did you realize that from the start to the end I never once mentioned about combing my hair with a comb? I didn’t! I’ve only used these serums and my fingers ; ) Thank you Kao Essential for the opportunity to try out these great products!

L’Oreal Professionnel A/W 2013 Hair Trend – Sombre

By | beauty, Hair | No Comments

Did you know that L’Oreal Professionnel comes up with hair trend collections every season? I didn’t actually, till I was invited by Gary to watch one of the shows where experts performed and wow-ed the L’Oreal trained stylists in Singapore – it was an eye opener! I mean, of course there are hair trends – But I would have never known about the showcases they hold for their stylists in the academy till now!

That was S/S 2013 actually, and back last season, the theme was Over Nature / Nature Ombre (the names are always slightly different in different countries) – and their lookbook was styled according to theme – just for a recap, S/S 2013 looked like this:

For A/W 2013, L’Oreal Professionel has come up with yet another set of looks, closer to my heart because of the color combi – Silver and Blonde! BLONDE!

Presenting to you, the IT looks of A/W 2013.

I’ve been a blonde for quite some time by now actually, and have been getting compliments for my blonde hair by Vim! ; ) At the same time, in Pinterest, I’ve noticed that there’s been a sudden surge of blonde colors – so yes, it is in season for A/W (or F/W, whichever term you prefer!).

“Silver blonde is truly one of the colours that I had wanted to recreate for a long time since it has been a while since blonde has been so pure and frosty.” – Frederic Mennetrier, Collection Hairstylist

So I popped by the salon, and got my hair color refreshed by the trusty hands of Salon Vim – this time round by Gary, because he was directing the colors for a photoshoot. Thankfully, his vision was similar to what I was looking at as well, and very happily, I walked out of the salon with a gorgeous new metallic sombre color.

Sombre, means Subtle Ombre. There was so much highlighting going on that you can’t really see the details if you look at me from afar, but you can definitely see that my hair has more texture and if it’s even possible, looked much thicker than before!

The stylists spent so much time coloring my hair that even I felt bad for them – I was just sitting in the chair and getting a bit of a sore butt, but these stylists, on top of having to handle my hair, have to stand for the entire day and handle customers one after another.

I actually requested for some streaks of rose-gold/pink-blonde as well, and hehe, I was given that! Though, in my current state of blonde and hair condition, pink hair doesn’t last long on me and it faded pretty quickly.

Couldn’t stop camwhoring with my hair the minute I got home…

The textures, the layers and the color… Words cannot describe how happy I was!

Thank you, Salon Vim!

I can’t wait to share snippets and photos from the A/W photoshoot with you all soon.

Quote my name – EVONNE – and get 10% off chemical/full services at Salon Vim! If you’re asking for suggestions – look for Stephanie, who’s my dedicated Senior Stylist or Gary, the salon director to get your hair done! Protect your scalp & perfect your hair with SilkPro!

By | beauty, Hair | No Comments

Unless you’re new to my blog, you would know that I love crazy hair colors. I’ve done them all except for orange (don’t need lah, huh) and I’ve run out of ideas of what color to do next, haha. It seems like everyone’s question to me when they see my blonde hair would be “so what color are you doing next?”. I actually have to plan my hair color carefully, as I’m not intending to bleach it all over anytime soon.

I would be doing my hair sponsor a great disservice if I were to say that they damaged my hair, because they didn’t, and deciding to bleach my hair blonde (and then going through various crazy colors) was my own choice. They’ve made every single effort to ensure minimal damage during bleaching, and they would advise against bleaching if my hair cannot take it – and that is why I’m on a bleaching ban, because my hair has hit its limit for bleaching – and let’s not forget the many external factors which damages your hair, like:

  • Blow drying / Curling / Styling with hot tools (who can forget the girl whose hair dropped off after curling?!)
  • Environmental pollutants & UV rays
  • Product usage &

    lastly, we have the award-winning Silk Pro Hair Tonic Concentrate. It contains 11 herbs of east and west origins, and they are specially blended with the powerful combination of 3 species of Ginseng – Korean, American and Siberan – which nourishes and revitalizes follicles to fight premature hair fall. It also contains ginger, which helps to increase micro-circulation at the hair roots, giving you fuller and thicker hair! MY HUSBAND NEEDS THIS. *coughs*

    Application tips:

    Spray directly onto scalp after shampoo/conditioner at the 6 recommended spots, and gently massage all over scalp with fingertips. You may feel a warming sensation (from the ginseng and ginger).

    I have many serums and leave in conditioners targeting the hair ends, but none at all for the scalp and I’m pretty happy to have this in my hair product stash! It completes my hair care regime – I’ve realized that I care for my hair ends so much that I’ve neglected my scalp. I really like the warm sensation, and I can do with having more hair for sure, hahaha.

    SilkPro’s shampoos are reasonably priced, and readily available / stocked at major supermarket and hypermarkets. They’re also having a promotion which ends 12th August 2013 – only available at NTUC Fairprice outlets! For the list of fairprice outlets and more promotions, please refer to SilkPro’s facebook page (and like it too!).

    Screen Shot 2013-07-18 at 6.27.54 PM

    I’m really proud of this Singaporean brand which has conquered overseas markets as well – did you know that they will be available for purchase in Korea soon?! Thank you, SilkPro for the chance to try out your haircare products! ; D
