China Glaze Medallion – TOO BLING!
This was a two coater of China Glaze’s Medallion over one coat of Orly Luxe. Medallion is made of of some different sizes of gold flakes/glitter suspended in clear coat, while Luxe (ORLY) is a (not very) shiny pale gold/champagne shade. Put them together and…. CHIOOOOOOOO RIGHHHHHHHHTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT (i know i know!) Had to use ORLY Luxe to fill in the gaps! The pinky nail is the one without Luxe as a base. Color Club – Alter Ego Nice duochrome of purple/taupe mix. I like this color. Color Club – Total Mystery This one stains a little. But its so bright and cheerful! AND GLITTERY! Color Club – Alias Very unique purple, unfortunately not much of the gold sheen was seen on the nails as it was on the bottle. I first chanced upon this in Japan during my previous trip and it’s been an awesome tool for gradient nails!!! When I found it in Hong Kong’s Bonjour I just HAD TO GET IT! It was going for 59 HKD which was around 10$ or LESS!?!? The brand is Beauty World Nail Cocktail. I believe they’re selling at SASA as well? Domo kun + Gloomy Bear Nails!
Did a trial (first attempt!) today on my brother’s gf’s nails cos she’s mad about these two chars. Used acrylic paint for these. Didn’t have the right colors for Domo Kun, but take it as monitor calibration gone wrong laaaaaaa. : p
Candy Nails
So I was gonna attend Make Up Store’s preview/launch of their new collection, Pixel and I decided to do my nails and decided on multi candy colored nails with dripping “cream”! : D Colors I used were: China Glaze Lemon Fizz (yellow) Orly Cotton Candy (pink) Orly Ancient Jade (green) Orly Snowcone (blue) OPI Done Out In Deco (purple) For the dripping cream, I used acrylic paint with a large dotting tool and drew it right on! Acrylic paints are super fuss free and easy to draw as they don’t dry as quickly as polish… Though that’s a bane cos I waited quite a while for it to dry – they can be easily wiped…

Picked up some ORLYs : D ORLY Ancient Jade This is from ORLY’s Precious Collection (Spring 2011). Before you think this is another “tiffany’s” shade.. this is actually darker. Look at the comparison below with China Glaze’s For Audrey! Ancient jade is greener, a tad darker but just as beautiful! ORLY Sapphire Silk This is from ORLY’s Precious Collection (Spring 2011) too!
