Kith Cafe, Quayside Isle with Julius the husky + Detox with hic’Juice!

By | Brunch, Food, Life, Pets, Randoms, Western | One Comment

When I heard that a friend of Yang’s got a husky pup, I was excited and wanted to meet him! You know how cute and small husky pups can be – Julius is about 6 month’s now, and is a pedigree breed from a famous husky breeder, Hubert’s family line (Kenzo x Thelma are his parents) and he’s gonna BE A STUD (in his mom’s words, hahaha).

I asked Jess to pick a dog-friendly cafe and she very nicely arranged for dinner at Kith Cafe, which was relatively near me – I’ve always wanted to try Kith Cafe but the outlet Dhoby Ghaut was a little boring for me – their new outlet at Quayside Isle sees Brussel & Sprouts and Saint Pierre as its neighbors – it’s my first time to Quayside Isle, and I was surprised by how easy it was for me to find parking, their informative website with instructions on how to get there complete with parking rates. For the uninitiated, it’s inside Sentosa Cove, so you have to pay entrance fee to get into Sentosa unless you stay at Sentosa Cove (lucky you!) or you get a resident to get you.

Even the parking lot walls are turquoise! *_* Loved the spacious lots!

The Quayside Isle is clean, new, dog-friendly (at least Kith Cafe is!) and also baby friendly! They have lots for families as well as diaper stations etc. They even have Jason’s Supermarket (no doubt for the residents at Sentosa Cove)! I think it’s a nice place to check out, chill out and I’ll definitely return with my girls some day! You know how much we love brunch.

Anyway, I was all up for a carbo-laden dinner before I go on a juice cleanse diet (aka detox) from all the junk I’ve been eating from my trip (Ying said Japanese food is healthy food – but I’ve been eating cup noodles, lah!) and it couldn’t come more timely! I’ve been thinking of going on a detox to improve my skin condition as well – for some reason I keep getting pimples on the sides of my face no matter what products I use – It’s been getting better, but still oily and new pimples still pop up randomly, much to my annoyance. I believe it’s high time I tried a detox to aid recovery as well, so yep! I’ll talk more about that later.

Where were we? Oh. Food. FOOD.

Kith Cafe serves breakfast till 5pm, and had a good selection of breakfast - they're pretty popular for their eggs benny, I believe! I NEED TO COME BACK AFTER THE DETOX. *nudges Yina & Eve*

Fries with Mayo dip. Not too bad! But I ordered a pasta main so I stayed off these.

Calamari. I found it very chewy, but the husband thought it wasn't too good. I like that the batter wasn't too thick, but I wished it came with a tartar dip instead!

And my Vongole in White Wine Sauce ($19) with a poached egg (add $2) on top! I loved the poached egg!!! It was the perfect way to end my pasta. I cannot resist eggs.

We didn’t order a huge selection, but I finished every single morsel on my plate (except the garlic and chillies, I took ’em off my plate). I think it was nice, the clams had no fishy taste and it wasn’t too salty – everything was done just nice to me! Could probably use a bit more punch, but it was satisfying – I’ve always been a noodles person.

The Tiramisu was nice to me too! We ordered one for the two girls to share - I didn't choke on the powder, which was a good thing! It was creamy, and just wet enough - could have done with a bit bit bit more flavor, but that's a personal preference!

... Actually he's just 6 months old and still very boyish and playful, heh!

… Actually he’s just 6 months old and still very boyish and playful, heh!

He was kindda niappish – still under going training classes, but so far he’s quite smart! I’d say that if you want a husky… please read up on how to handle these dogs, because if you’re a first time husky owner their antics can shock you. They are famously temperamental, and stubborn – as well as a one way ticket if you let them loose (not all, of course. there are some well trained ones, but generally they are like that.) They are very friendly to kids and a lousy guard dog – and they are adventurous, they bite everything and they love digging through gardens. (Again, not all, but a general trait). Expect to have a pretty frustrating first few months while your huskies get used to you and respect you as the alpha before it will behave the way you want him to. A husky can grow pretty big, so you do have to keep things away from their reach. They are strong, so you have to have some strength to keep them around when they start sprinting after cats in the neighborhood.

Okay very lohsoh, I’m sorry, but all I wanted to say is, don’t adopt a husky just for their looks, please. A LOT of them get abandoned because people think that they cannot be trained – but the truth is they just cannot handle huskies. Please consider to adopt or foster before deciding to buy. Or at least, purchase from a reputable breeder (which can go up to the thousands) and not a puppy mill. I made the mistake of getting my dog from a puppy mill and I regret supporting the puppy mills 9 years ago.  I’m sorry : ( But I love my dog, ah!

Okay, I’ve digressed. Jess is a great owner and I’m sure Julius will be a happy stud-to-be! *coughs*

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Doggie talk aside – Quayside Isle is beautiful, and it’s a little darker than I imagined it to be but still illuminated by the ships on the dock and the Christmas lights. I did’t get any mosquito bites so… THAT’S A GOOD THING! The sea breeze was cooling – it had jus rained and it wasn’t too humid at all.

hic’Juice – Raw + Organic + Cold Pressed

A little more about the hic’Juice detox I’m doing – Juice detoxes are in, I can tell you that! I was noticing the number of juice bars in USA! And hic’Juice is the first to bring this detox + delivery service into Singapore, so that you can get your detox done in the comfort of your own home and not have to think about what to drink or where to find your drink the next day!

3 days of Reboot.

I’ve been wanting to do a detox again for some time. When I stayed off sodium, picked healthier carbs and did a detox, I felt that I was less fidgety (ADHD much) and could concentrate better – all these did wonders for my work and blogging – these days I feel lethargic easily and I am in serious need of some concentration to churn out all the entries + work backlog! It’s Christmas season and everyone’s rushing to do something these few weeks!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

All juices are freshly made in Singapore with the freshest ingredients – and certified (stamp, chop!) by a nutritionist – who is none other than my bff’s mom, Dr. Doreen Tan whom I respect + look up to and is the main reason why I picked this detox plan over others. I trust her, simple as that! The juices are freshly made and non-pasteurized, so they are delivered just the night before you start your detox plan and are fresh for up to only 3 days. What does that mean for me? NO PROCRASTINATION. Once I’m on it, I HAVE to finish it, in 3 days!

Keep in fridge! In fact, make space for it! There's a total of 18 heavy glass bottles - glass bottles are the best - and you'll need to make sure your fridge has space for them!

Keep in fridge! In fact, make space for it! There’s a total of 18 heavy glass bottles – glass bottles are the best – and you’ll need to make sure your fridge has space for them!

There are 6 labelled bottles of juices in a day for you, and hic’juices + tea/water will be all you’re ingesting – drinking plenty of water aids your body in flushing out the toxins so you shouldn’t take in junk food to build it up again. I know it’s difficult for a carb lover like me, and it takes a lot of determination to complete even a short 1 day detox – but just timely – I have tonnes of backlogs to clear and will only be heading out for a short errand tomorrow, so for these 3 days… PLEASE DON’T ASK ME OUT. Hahaha. Till Thursday la, okay?! I can do it! Or rather, WE CAN DO IT! I don’t know what Tham is doing it for, that woman is so skinny – but okay, good to have a partner you know! Misery loves company, ahhahaah. LET’S GO LET’S GO!

Supply & Demand at Esplanade, Thank You for finding my ring.

By | Food, Western | No Comments

Careless could be my middle name. Could, because I’m usually not that careless but when it comes to my rings apparently I’m quite the sotong. I misplaced my wedding ring in my own house for almost an entire year (I usually wear the engagement ring), and just very recently, I lost my own engagement band!

See, I usually remove my ring when I have to use my hands to eat… crab. Or cook dinner, which I sometimes do without heading into my room, so I’d place my ring in one of the pockets of my bag. Sometimes I can go for days without wearing the ring when I’m rushing out, because I know it’s in my bag lah. But apparently not this time…

In our chatroom, 3 days after we’ve visited Supply & Demand. I didn’t even have dinner there was I was late and was probably there for all of 45mins hanging around waiting to cut a cake while the birthday girl ignores all of us.

Miya: Eh, did anyone lose a ring at Supply & Demand?
*group chimes in Nope, nope*

*reads through without paying attention*

Miya: Jace told me they found a ring at the restaurant!

Me: No la, mine’s in my bag.

*2 hours goes by because I’m like, really hardworking and typing away furiously on my computer* hahaha.

Miya: It’s a ring with diamonds around it. A Bvlgari.
Felicia: That can only be Ling’s.

*thinks about the possibility of someone losing the same kind of ring*

Me: ERH, WAIT AH I CHECK.

*rummages through bag, flips bag inside out, goes through 3 different bags*

Me: OMG I THINK IT’S MINE. IS THE SILVER PART A BIT LAKSEK AND DIRTY?! THAT’S MINE! *PANICS* *says something about

And oh, if you do visit the restaurant, do swing by the Banyan Tree Gallery in the mall – they have scented candles in a tin which have really good scent throw, and makes you feel like you’re in spa. Even Yina loves it! My favorite picks are Lavender & Bergamot, and Lemongrass. The prices are actually the same as the Angsana / Banyan Tree in Bintan, except… the prices are in SGD. I paid $7 USD for one candle in Bintan. It’s like $7 SGD here. > : | Bah! I bought quite a few and am bringing one for my trip (in case the hotel(s) smells). I think you’re sick of hearing about my trip by now but… 2 more days!!!!!!!!!! WHEEEE!!!

Red Velvet Pancakes, $13.50 SGD

Little Diner at 789 Bukit Timah Rd

By | Brunch, Food, Western | No Comments

Red Velvet Pancakes? YES PLEASE!

I’ve been meaning to check out this place for quite a while now but it seems like this place doesn’t like me planning trips down somehow. Both my trips to this place (once for a weekday dinner, once for weekend brunch) was unplanned and last minute spontaneous decisions!

Little Diner is an american styled eatery with some interesting food choices on the menu. A bit limited, but nonetheless well presented and very tantalizing to look at! They taste pretty good too, from what I’ve tried so far! Price range wise, it’s pretty alright ($13.50 for pancakes is pretty friendly!) but can get a little steep ($15.50 for truffle fries… but I’ll rather take their truffle fries over P.S. Cafe’s any day!)

When it comes to parking, I’ve had no trouble getting a spot, but I went at 8pm & 230pm respectively which are rather late timings, so if it’s full you may have to park at Guthrie House behind. There’s a bus stop right beside the place and it’s not too inaccessible but try not to miss the entrance, or you may have to make some really troublesome U-turns.

little-diner-bukit-timah-brunch-and-dinner-truffle-fries-8

On my first trip there I realized that the place smells strongly… of truffle! It’s not a bad smell, but it’s the kind that will linger on your clothes and hair unless – and I have noticed that it’s more obvious during dinner time. There wasn’t much of a truffle scent during brunch, but I was all prepared to shower anyway when I got home, haha.

little-diner-bukit-timah-brunch-and-dinner-truffle-fries-2

The place had a rather cold feel to it with its cement patterened walls and floor, along with dark wooden furniture and black benches. I personally think this place could be a little cosier and comfier, but it would be quite a bitch to get truffle smell out of cushions and fabric sofas!

little-diner-bukit-timah-brunch-and-dinner-truffle-fries-3

The owners seem to be advocates of cycling. I love the impeccable English of the lady working there – after she read the specials on the board out to me in person, I was blown away by her “speech” and said – wow, you sound like you’re coming off a TV! Her dictation was impeccable and I loved it. “It’s called the former teacher in me,” she said before walking off with a smile. Heh. The hubs thought I was rude but hellooooo it’s a compliment! I like her angmo okay! Wish I could speak like that, with all the correct notes, haha.

Dinner & Brunch

My first time there was for dinner – I actually wanted brunch, but it was nice that I’ve experienced both breakfast and dinner times! You can make a reservation via Chope, and upon arrival, you’d find a little handwritten place card with your name on it.

Wasn't hard to miss "Yang Yang" on the sign. Every table's happily decorated with a tiny vase of happy flowers in a great color combi - these later made for extremely good props for photo-taking too, haha. And they're so tiny and unobtrusive! Our drinks for breakfast: Latte, and Apple juice. Wish it could have been freshly squeezed fruit juice, but that one's fine too!

The red velvet pancakes were goooooood! Especially with the cream cheese frosting. I think I’m more in love with cream cheese than red velvet, but these are really yums and worth trying out! The price tag’s pretty good too and the portions aren’t too big, though I couldn’t finish all the pancakes in the end anyway).

Truffle Fries to-go, $15.50 SGD

Truffle Fries to-go, $15.50 SGD

The best thing to me was their truffle fries – these were da bomb the first time I tried them! I love their freshly handcut fries – the potato skin you see on the fries? YUM!!! I was all full from brunch but I _had_ to take them away back home for dinner. I love my fries soggy and these are a must-try if you love truffle fries.

I need to come back again and try more brunch items on the menu – Yina Goh, when are you free and most willing to travel down to Bukit Timah again for food!?

For faster updates, do follow me on Instagram! I love snapping pics and sharing them on instagram on the go, but sometimes I prefer the bokeh from my 20mm lens / gf-2 camera rather than pics from the iPhone, so I bought an SD card with Wifi, which allows me to download the pics from my card to my phone and I’ve never been happier! It takes up a little more battery power and you need to make sure your camera’s compatible with it before you can use it, but it’s been so easy editing and instagramming on the go (especially for OOTDs)! I got my 16GB Transcend wifi card (which is the cheapest on the market) from Fuwell in Sim Lim Square for about $80 odd (can’t rem the exact figure now) – look for Kelvin and ask him for the card! (I’m a frequent customer of Fuwell, haha).

Strangers’ Reunion @ Kampong Bahru

By | Brunch, Food, Sweet Treats, Western | No Comments

Some of us Nuffnang bloggers were invited to Strangers’ Reunion to sample their newest menu’s offerings, and it was a reunion of sorts indeed! Met up with the ones I was familiar with, and also some new faces for the night!

strangers-reunion-at-kampong-bahru-11

If you do a quick search, Strangers’ Reunion is located at 37 Kampong Bahru Road – it is my first time there so I had to google – and the map tried to lead me to god knows where. But if you type in Strangers Reunion instead of 37 Kampong Bahru Road, it routes you to the right place! It’s just a little down Cantonment Police HQ towards the west (AYE/Queensway).

strangers-reunion-at-kampong-bahru-7

Strangers Reunion

37 Kampong Bahru Road Singapore 169356
Tel: 6222 4869
Opening Hours: 9am – 10pm, closed on Tuesdays

Parking… well don’t wait along the main road, which I did for 5 minutes – turn left and you’ll find yourself with two lanes of parking (50 cents per half an hour till 10pm) and I found a lot rather quickly and easily too. You’ll have to get out of the area by 10pm though, it’s season parking only after 10pm.

Anyway, I entered through the backdoor because of where I parked – and thank god there was a backdoor! The first beautiful sight I chanced upon was the toilet sink, ahhaha. The toilets were clean, thumbs up for that! (I really hate eating places without clean toilets)

The interior of the cafe is an eclectic mix of simple, industrial chic – you’ll see much concrete, wood, and a simply decorated flowers on the table, topped off with a dash of beautiful oriental brush paintings hanging on the walls which can be quite the mood changer.

strangers-reunion-at-kampong-bahru-3

strangers-reunion-at-kampong-bahru-7

Like I’ve said, it’s my first time there so I didn’t know what to expect – but despite not having been there, I’ve heard loads about their coffee – their Barista, Ryan Tan is a three-time Singapore National Barista Championship winner as well as the second runner-up in the World Latte Art Championship! (read more on article here). Unfortunately, I don’t take coffee nor have the taste buds to appreciate it, so you’ll have to take my word (and the championship titles Ryan has achieved) for it for now, hahaha.

strangers-reunion-at-kampong-bahru-5

strangers-reunion-at-kampong-bahru-6

They also serve pastries – I didn’t get to sample them, but I was drooling at their cakes in the display (i’m a cake person *raises both hands*) and I’ve heard that they’re pretty famous for their breakfast too!

strangers-reunion-at-kampong-bahru-4

The sofa seats were rather comfy, and plush cushions were readily available along them. (refer to first picture!)

strangers-reunion-at-kampong-bahru-8

We picked our choices of drinks for the night from their menu, and I ordered my favorite Earl Grey Tea!

strangers-reunion-at-kampong-bahru-17

Lattes were a popular choice too – Yina had the iced one with ice cream, whilst Yuen sitting beside me enjoyed her cuppa with simple, but still beautiful art on top. (Sorry ah, not a kopi person so I really have no idea how I should describe coffee)

strangers-reunion-at-kampong-bahru-14

strangers-reunion-at-kampong-bahru-15

They also serve iced water in glass bottles, and gosh I drank so much water and tea I went home all bloated!

strangers-reunion-at-kampong-bahru-9

(I know right, water also must post picture?! I was really parched so I was thankful for the glass of water waiting for me when I stepped in, haha)

strangers-reunion-at-kampong-bahru-12

Andddd let the feast begin!

The new dishes on the menu to be served to us tonight:
(Dishes I like are marked and recommend trying with an asterisk *)

  • * Lotus Root Chips, with spicy aioli
  • Egg Net Tempura Soft Shell Crab, with spicy kewpie mayo & corn in a brioche bun
  • Corn & Zucchini Fritters, with avocado, poached egg & spicy tomato relish
  • * Crispy Pork Belly, with truffled mash, ginger beer, apple & date chutney
  • 12-hour Braised Lamb Shoulder Flat Bread, with quinoa tabouli & hummus
  • Za’atar-spiced Eggplant Fritters, with lemon yogurt
  • * Buttermilk Waffles – with artisan greek yogurt & fresh fruit, vanilla ice cream & fresh fruit or maple syrup & fresh fruit

strangers-reunion-at-kampong-bahru-13

Lotus Root Chips, with spicy aioli

I loved the second round of lotus root chips – I think the first round got a little limp after all the picture taking and waiting, so they served up a second batch which was less salty, with the right amount of crunch and chewiness and I love the dip! It wasn’t spicy at all for me, but tasted really good still!

strangers-reunion-at-kampong-bahru-16

Egg Net Tempura Soft Shell Crab, with spicy kewpie mayo & corn in a brioche bun

Really not a fan of Brioche, but Yina liked it. The Tempura Soft Shell Crab was a tad too soggy, but still sweet and delicious to me. It was a surprise even to myself because I’m not a fan of soft shell crabs. One plate usually comes with two of it instead of the 3 you see in the picture.

(thanks to Yina for the image!)

(thanks to Yina for the image!)

Corn & Zucchini Fritters, with avocado, poached egg & spicy tomato relish

This was the next surprise of the night because I actually finished almost the entire thing, haha. I don’t even like zucchini to begin with! I wouldn’t usually order such foods (too much explosion of taste – egg, avocado, then spicy tomato and zucchini?!), but this was yummy!

strangers-reunion-at-kampong-bahru-19

The star of the night had to be this – Crispy Pork Belly, with truffled mash, ginger beer, apple & date chutney – at least for me! I love pork. PORK BELLEH. OH MY GOD! Give it to me!

Surprisingly, the pork belly wasn’t too fatty or “gelat” at all, as they managed to remove most of the fatty portions by a special overnight compression technique – and the delicious chutney also helped loads by adding a zesty punch to every mouthful. Plus the aromatic fragrance of truffle… ahhhh it makes me want to get a bottle of truffle oil and some truffle salt right now. And did I mention that the pork skin is CRISPY? Like the 烧肉 kind. *in heaven*

strangers-reunion-at-kampong-bahru-21

12-hour Braised Lamb Shoulder Flat Bread, with quinoa tabouli & hummus

I don’t like lamb – I’ve never liked the taste nor the smell, so I skipped this. I’m sorry I can’t give much comments on this dish, but hey at least you have a visual expectation of this dish! Hehe.

strangers-reunion-at-kampong-bahru-20

Za’atar-spiced Eggplant Fritters, with lemon yogurt

By this time round I was too full and decided to save some space for the buttermilk waffles so I skipped this too (not exactly a fan of deep fried stuff or eggplant). It looks really nice and crunchy though!

strangers-reunion-at-kampong-bahru-22

Truffle Fries (not a new dish).

3 Words. OMG MUST ORDER. Peggy loves the truffle fries too!

strangers-reunion-at-kampong-bahru-23

Buttermilk Waffles – with artisan greek yogurt & fresh fruit, vanilla ice cream & fresh fruit or maple syrup & fresh fruit
The next MUST TRY dish of the night – their Buttermilk Waffles!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

You can choose from 3 combis – with greek yogurt, vanilla ice cream or maple syrup, all with fresh fruit. I usually like soggy waffles, so I love the ice cream one – but if you like crispy waffles, whoa! This is totally for you! I like how it isn’t too hard, and while I didn’t take too fondly to greek yogurt, I love the sprinkling of fruits on top and I can already see myself coming back for this and also their all-day breakfast!

Thanks for the makan session, Strangers Reunion! I’ll be back for breakfast someday!

Pasarbella Part Deux

By | Food, Fusion, Western | 8 Comments

Actually, part tres already, because this weekend marks the third time I’ve been there – and I’m not sick of the place yet, but my husband will probably stab me with a blunt knife should I suggest PasarBella again, hahaha. Thankfully the 2nd time (my third time) he’s there we discovered another newly opened stall, Keith & Kin which sells VERY good crackling roast pork. I’m sorry I didn’t manage to get a picture of it because we gobbled it all up before I could even whip out my camera.

And oh, the $3.50 for a 3cm x 3cm square cube of alcohol fruit cake from Clipper Tea Sg was really nice, despite the WHAT-IT-IS-$3.50-FOR-A-SMALL-CUBE exclamation from me. No pictures for that either, was too famished.

If you haven’t seen my mega post for part one yet, click here!

So this time round I made sure to capture some pictures of inside the ladies room for the mummies, just because it’s clean and because I’m sure mummies would love to see what facilities there are for kids.

pasarbella-thegrandstand-turf-city-farmers-market-singapore-6

Toilet is clean. I like. ; D “Little potty” is so adorable!

pasarbella-thegrandstand-turf-city-farmers-market-singapore-7

According to Shianux the soap expert he says it’s expensive soap, but I don’t buy it. The bottle looks expensive though!

pasarbella-thegrandstand-turf-city-farmers-market-singapore-5

They have this diaper changing station which looks like a bird cage. How quaint.

pasarbella-thegrandstand-turf-city-farmers-market-singapore-6

And this little “gossip corner” which I think is more like a nursing room to me, hahaha. The aircon is installed right in the little cubicle so that makes it a very comfortable spot! Blowing the toilet smell away.

pasarbella-thegrandstand-turf-city-farmers-market-singapore-8

And a hugeass gorgeous full length mirror. Camwhores take note!

pasarbella-thegrandstand-turf-city-farmers-market-singapore-9

This time round we sat upstairs – I think the max seating capacity was probably 50-60 pax, and you can shift the tables around for your convenience. You can watch the busy market action going on downstairs!

pasarbella-thegrandstand-turf-city-farmers-market-singapore-11

Yes, no matter where you’re seated, you still have to clear the food yourself. Although, this sweet Caucasian little girl came up to me and gave me a big smile while eying my empty food packet – it turns out that she’s probably related to someone operating Le Patio (which sells paella) and she seemed to be clearing all the food purchased from the paella stall! How cute… then we got into a discussion about child labor and slavery and it wasn’t so cute anymore, hahaha. But she’s really adorable, awww.

And do check out the random posters plastered all over PasarBella – I love them! If you take note, some of them have the words “Howe” thrown in – that’s the surname of one of the founders, haha. Gotta love the creative & branding team behind this one.

Paella from Le Patio – there was a long queue for it, and IMHO, it’s pretty alright to me. I didn’t have much expectations because I didn’t eat much Paella while i was in Europe (so no benchmark), but I can tell you that the sight of them cooking it on the spot will make you _want_ to get some. It costs like $12.80 for the packet you see above – you get 2 mussels, 1 prawn, some squids and chicken mixed in.

Fish & Chips from Oceans of Seafood. My husband was like D: and had “what is this abomination written all over his face – apparently they use a different kind of fish for the fish and chips and it tasted really different from the usual dory… but I liked it! It tasted a little chinese and tbh I think it was fresh and went really well with Tartar!

Got myself a fresh coconut from Tangy Tangerines – it came with an uber and environmentally-friendly cute straw, but no spoon to dig out the flesh! Such a waste. Tasted real good and refreshing though, been drinking lotsa coconut juice because of the ulcer I have – probably too heaty – coconut is supposedly “cooling”! (But the flesh is heaty. hur.) I bought a packet of seedless grapes from Tangy Tangerines for $7.90 (it’s $8 for 1kg) and Estrella got some cherries. We’re suckers for packaging, I tell you. Or maybe it’s just her cos mine came in a plain plastic bag hahaha.

On our previous trip, we tried the Boston Lobster from Oceans of Seafood!

These 2 lobsters weighed about 1.15kg and cost us approx $120 SGD. Whoa, I know. I had a mini heart attack as well. But it was fresh and sweet and the meat peeled off soooo easily! (it was still moving when we picked it off the display!) – they say African lobsters were tastier, not sure how true that is… I’ve been hearing people tell me that the seafood there is pretty cheap actually. I’ve yet to try the sushi at Oceans of Seafood yet, I’ll probably head down again just for that! Oh yes, the lobsters came with three dips, BBQ, Black Pepper and one more I have no idea what that is – but all 3 went really well with the lobster!

Chicken & ribs – hubs said it was so-so for the ribs. Both cost us about $38 SGD in total.

THIS – YOU HAVE TO TRY. It’s quite possibly the best dessert in PasarBella! XD

When I took this picture, there were only 5 pieces… and we bought one to try. I love strawberry cake/tart/etc! And I tell you, our faces literally lit up after tasting just one piece – OH MY GAWD! WHAT IS THIS SORCERY! WE NEED MOAR!

And then Miya went down and came back up with a sheepish look on her face. Apparently while she was ordering she realized the person behind her wanted the cake too and.. and… we wiped it out. HAHAHAHA. So yes we took all 5 pieces. Bella Bakery, well done! I really loved this and EVERYONE OF YOU SHOULD GO GET A SLICE IF YOU EVER HEAD TO PASARBELLA. You can’t miss this!

Cookies for Sid, sister store of 12 Cupcakes. They were super friendly and I was so tempted, but I had to give it a miss as I couldn’t risk having the crumbs shatter in my mouth and getting stuck to my ulcer. *sigh*

Remember the picture of where Yina & I took a picture with a giraffe? Hahaha. It’s from this store which I didn’t cover previously, called Pixie Dust!
