I don’t dare to shower
You know, during the time when I was pregnant, my friends and I had a few discussions about confinement. The topics ranged from an experiment a friend of a friend held (had 2 kids, did 1 confinement and tried going without confinement for the 2nd child), and to how Caucasians had a different body constitution from ours (they eat lotsa red meat, we don’t, blablabla) and henceforth they were not affected by these supposed bouts of rheumatism if you don’t follow the confinement rules strictly. One thing for sure though, its that most mothers DEFINITELY washed their hair and took showers. Heck even my own mother couldn’t stand that! She gave me a disgusted look…
The 20 Percent
On March 14th, I was carrying a 5 week old fetus inside me. On April 1st I contemplated telling people “I’m Pregnant!” as an April’s Fool day joke, but decided against it as I think I’ll be bombarded with questions (for real) and also, my parents didn’t want me to tell everyone, so I didn’t. But some of you guys closer to me knew anyway, which was something I never regretted – thank you for the support both before and after the news – and when friends did ask, I couldn’t lie and say no right? 1. Got Married (21st May, 2011) at Carlton. Frankly, the venue was okay, price was good, but the food was only so-so. Guess something’s got to give! My lovely husband nearly wanted to kill the female banquet manager at some point. Hahaha. I love the fun we had preparing for the entire event, and I’m really thankful to my wonderful friends to helping me out. And also the husband who was very patient with me and my needs. Travelogue: Hokkaido ✈ (Day 1) @ Furano, Farm Tomita, Ashibetsu
(Geez.. I’m super back dated. This trip was in July.) Our Day 1 plan was to head to Furano, where Farm Tomita is located at (for the lavender fields!) which was about anything from 1.5 hours to 2.5 hours from Sapporo (depending on if you took the bus, JR, chartered, drove via the highway or small roads etc and if you’re willing to pay toll!) Toll is about 1800 – 2500 JPY depending on where you’re traveling from/to. That’s approx SGD $30 – $45. There’s a few ways to head to Furano as I’ve earlier mentioned. An experience in China, 2011
So while I was in The Great Firewall of China (husband had work to do there), I did a record breaking number of 4 massages in 5 days. I deserve a break after all that walking!!! They were all clean massages in the hotel. I thought to myself that it’s really rather cheap for a 100 minute massage. It stated 188 RMB! So I went up the 2nd floor (they have their own dedicated lift) and noticed that they all communicated via walkie talkies.
