Backlogged Food Randoms (Photo post)
Antoinette @ Penhas Great service (much better than the one at Mandarin), really nice food though some can be a bit gelat and portions are pretty huge for crepes/french toast. Great if you have people sharing with you, I loved the Seafood Olio Pasta at Mandarin… but the prices are a little on the steep side. Lovely interior. Penhas has quite a lot of parking spaces actually, and reservations are allowed at the Penhas outlet (but not at Mandarin).... Read More
Keisuke Tonkutsu Ramen King @ Orchid Hotel
I’ve tried Keisuke at Parco before they stopped their “Atas Prawn Noodles” and I was slightly disappointed with it back then cos I felt it was TOO oily. When I heard that they’ve opened a new branch at Orchid Hotel (Tanjong Pagar, about 5min walk from the MRT and beside Amara Hotel) I told myself I must try! Serving free roast barley! I think cos it's summer and it's hot outside. ;D You have to queue. just a bit.... Read More
… and august comes to an end.
With lotsa fabulous activities. And lined up all the way till 23rd Sept! Yayyyy. We headed to Sentosa for a doggy outing. I didn’t bring Reira as she’s a terror to dry plus I left from Clementi. : | Actually, we had brunch earlier on at Strictly Pancakes, but it wasn’t a very conducive place for big groups (table too long…) plus the food standards seemed to have dropped. : | My pancakes were too thick and not fluffy enough,... LJ Gathering: Uncle Leong Seafood @ Punggol
Had a gathering with my dearest LJ friends on the 17th… I can’t help reminiscing about the first time I met Anne and April. Firstly I didn’t even know I was working in her office till we met outside her office toilet (we were bloggers then, it was 10 freaking years ago), we went to the same poly (she entered one year before me) and for April, I couldn’t get over how silent she was when I first met her. I think we barely exchanged... Read More

I’ve been too busy clearing my work for my upcoming Hokkaido and also i’ve been cursed with a really horrible back problem which is caused by… by… apparently, sitting too much. …… *sigh* Anyway, amidst all that… Dear “Brudder” (affectionately called) Steve and Jane ROM-ed at One Rochester! Really cosy place and pretty decent food. The happy couple jetted off to Japan for their honeymoon the... Read More

XD Shop owners got very confused cos there were us, these two girls who looked very Chinese who couldnt speak a... Read More

Singapore Food Trail at Singapore Flyer
My dad was being super hyper about going to the Singapore Flyer food trail to eat and walking from there to MBS (whaaaaat) so we went down today after my great grandmother was cremated yesterday noon… She had passed away unexpectedly at a ripe old age of 89, within 100 days of my wedding, and if she had waited two more years, I guess she would have upgraded to the role of a great great grandmother! : ( Funerals are a reunion of sorts. I see... Read More
La Cantina in Venezia
Finally tried the famous crab meat pasta in a far off, ulu place of… Changi Village Hotel! La Cantina in Venezia is located on the 8th floor, and has a wonderful scenery if you take outside seats. Actually not much difference for the inside seats I feel. : D I opted for less creamy, which was a good choice since it got kindda gelat for everyone else. Thank god we all shared XD FREAKING GOOD. AWESOME BIG CHUNKS OF CRABMEAT! (At $26.90 it’d... Read More
Brunch at Strictly Pancakes
Strictly Pancakes is a new brunch place that got me all excited… cos…. 1. It’s started by enterprising, young people (not that I know any of them but I saw the well wishes from Joanne’s parents and was pretty touched) 2. IT’S BRUNCH! 3. PANCAKES!! 4. Their website’s uber cute. I like websites with nice designs. *rubs hands in glee* And so I made a date with a few friends and headed down to Strictly Pancakes! True... Read More
Shin Yeh @ Liang Court
Issued Dad a “challenge”, to show me how to park in Liang Court (its fucking narrow) and he gladly accepted it so off to Liang Court we went, for family dinner on Thursday night! Taiwanese porridge place, Shin Yeh. (It’s owned by Tung Lok) The place is super classy, super nice, and can seat anywhere from 4 – 15 pax comfortably. It’s almost like a wedding dinner place and probably can house up to 20-25 tables. I think... Read More
August food stuff backlog *nom nom*
My favorite cheap dinner/supper place… 1. BEACH ROAD SCISSOR CUT CURRY RICE. Love this to bits. I call it 老地方. Also known as “Curry Bng” or 剪刀剪。 I’ve visited the other branch at Geylang before, but nothing beats this one. I love their cabbage and egg + curry. Actually all I need is that. I don’t even take spice. It’s not spicy at all! Just really really yummy and sinful. *drooling right now* I know... Read More
$322 at Tatsuya!
This is the first time I ever saw such expensive Japanese food. Even Tsukiji market(japan) was somewhat cheaper… They sell O-Toro for $75! Can you believe it?! (Okay actually I expected Tatsuya to be serving food which chalks up to a bill in the thousands. In fact I was surprised at $30 set meals!) 5 of us spent $322 in all at Tatsuya *heart stopped* and in that sum alone, me and my dad whacked $200 odd off. (Yes, I brought my dad along for... The Garden Slug
Dragged the sheep over for “breakfast” one fine day after clubbing the previous night away. Very sleepy. Iced Honey. I really like it that they seem to be able to “customize” food for picky patrons there like me. The first time I was there, I changed the pasta flavor from white to aglio olio… And then after that i requested for mixed fruits…… etc etc.. : x Iced Honey Lemon without Lemon…... Read More
Keisuke Tokyo @ Parco Marina, Singapore
Visited them last last week with Wendy, Ron & Daniel for lunch on a weekday. The place is dimly lit, I think it’s some kind of Japanese thing going on (similar to Ippudo but Ippudo was louder with a touch of red) to have dark atmosphere with mood lightings. Anyhoos. The food. Miso Ebi: The set comes with this: Nii tamago, chicken, and vegetables. Spicy Ebi Miso: Wendy’s Crab Stock Ramen. This was a limited... Read More
Chilli Crab Pasta at Pasta Stylo
One weekend, we made a special trip to Pasta Stylo at City Square mall because i’ve been hankering after the Chilli Crab Pasta. CITY SQUARE MALL WAS DESERTED AT LIKE 6PM!! ON A WEEKEND! Back to the Chilli Crab Pasta…… damn, IT WAS GOOD! Came with a whole (small) crab too. I chomped it up within 15 minutes. : D ~ The place is a little dark and interestingly decorated. They have loads of interesting pasta. I spotted one Seafood... Read More

Me: Urh why? Yang: I THINK YOU’RE EATING TOO MUCH!! But food makes me happy. : D Especially my soup, and Melben’s Crab Beehoon.... Read More
Paradise Inn @ West Coast Plaza
I’ve tried Seafood Paradise in Defu, Seafood Paradise at Flyer, and even Taste Paradise. If you don’t know, they are all owned by the Paradise Group. But the food differs from outlet to outlet. Baby kailan at all the other outlets are just.. So-so. The crabs at Seafood Paradise are a must try though, especially the creamy ones – I don’t eat that myself but the sheep says that it’s better than Melben’s and even... Read More
CM-PB @ 7 Dempsey Road
Brunch place again! I’ve visited this place twice, so that I can try out more stuff on the menu before review. : p First was for Lynne’s birthday celebration and the 2nd was when I got hold of the car and decided to go out for brunch with MZ, Pris and their other halves. This place is really pretty awesome. So the first time I was there, we were given chairs that left my ass aching as it was just planks of wood laid across. My thighs... Read More
Food For Thought @ 8 Queen St
After all the reviews from various bloggers, how could I not visit this place? Brunch you know! *yum* So, I’ve visited Food For Thought twice in a row by now and I’ve pretty much tried all the food I wanted to taste already (everything else doesn’t interest me). The place is white, clean, and very bright (well i visited in the day.) Brunch is served all day, from morning – 5.30pm. Lunch is served after 12.... Read More
